Spacious holiday accommodation ideal for exploring this idyllic corner of Scotland
Recently updated, Roseville offers comfortable holiday accommodation for eight to ten people. Nestled in the picturesque crofting village of Scourie in the rugged North West highlands, the cottage has four bedrooms (3 are en-suite), a cosy living room, and a family sized kitchen/dining room ideal for gathering after a day of exploring.
The cottage is well equipped for families and will leave you relaxed and refreshed after spending time in this breathtaking part of Sutherland.
Scourie beach is a few minutes from the cottage and is ideal for paddling, rock pooling and enjoying water sports such as kayaking or canoeing.
We offer weekly lets all year round with Saturday to Saturday availability (following current Scottish Government COVID-19 guidelines). Short Term Let licence applied for September 2023.

Living Room
Our cosy living room has a flat screen smart TV with Sky and Freeview. Wifi is included in your stay and offers connectivity for a number of devices. There are books to read and board games to enjoy during your holiday.
Family Kitchen/Dining Room
The kitchen is well equipped with hob/oven and grill, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, american fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer and the usual pots and pans and baking equipment.
The cottage also has an alexa echo, an iron and ironing board, a clothes airer and for our smallest guests we provide a high chair and stair gates.
Bedrooms
We have four comfortable bedrooms comprising..
Upstairs: a master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room, a double bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower room, a twin room with two single beds and en-suite shower room.
Downstairs: a double bedroom with double bed with use of the family shower room. The sofa in the living room is a double sofa-bed.
Towels and bed-linen are included in your stay and there is a hair dryer in each bedroom for your convenience.
Bathrooms
We have four shower rooms, three are en-suite in the upstairs bedrooms and the family shower room is situated downstairs. A small complimentary selection of Cole & Lewis toiletries is supplied in each shower room along with hand soaps from Essence of Harris.
Garden
Roseville has large front and back gardens which are fully fenced and there is also a tree swing. From the back garden there is a view to the sea.
Midgies?
If you holiday with us from May to September you will encounter midgies. We have provided a bottle of smidge repellent as its the only thing we've found that works!
Eating Out Locally
There are many local eateries offering sit in and takeaway service just now. Please ask for more information.
Pets
Unfortunately we are not accepting pets at the moment.
How to find us
From the South: From Inverness head north on the A835. At Ledmore Junction turn left onto the A837. Just past Ardvreck Castle take the junction to the right signposted Scourie and join the A894. Once in Scourie, Roseville is the last house on your left (before the public toilets) as you leave the village.
From the North: From Durness travel South on the A838. At Laxford Bridge carry on to the A894 and as you enter the village of Scourie, Roseville is the first house on the right.
Scourie is 42 miles north of Ullapool and is situated on the NC500 which makes an excellent base for touring the North Highlands and taking more time over the most northerly sections of the route.
